Ithaca 15th Birthday
This month, January 2023, Ithaca Partners celebrates 15 years since it was founded. We began with a simple mission: to find brilliant Corporate Affairs Directors (mostly called Communications Directors back then). Today, that mission continues, now across borders with the launch last September of CASA (the Corporate Affairs Search Alliance), the first international partnership of specialist Corporate Affairs search firms bringing together six market leading boutique firms in the USA and Europe.
The Ithaca Centre for Corporate Affairs Leadership is ‘making corporate affairs better’ and continues to grow at a rapid pace, as many of our wonderful clients already know. The focus is to help Corporate Affairs Directors be better leaders and run better functions. Coaching, organisational effectiveness for CA teams, team assessment and leadership development are all on the menu. The Ithaca Frame sits at the heart of plenty of this work – the first competency framework for Corporate Affairs Directors.
Reflecting on how far our profession has come, we’re especially proud of the progress we’ve helped to make in gender equality in Corporate Affairs. Last year, 64% of our shortlisted candidates and 66% of our placed candidates were female. We’re working extensively with talent of colour as we play our part in helping to grow this important part of the talent pool for Corporate Affairs.
